Way to go Dad! You may yet inspire me to give this blog thing a try. I can't began to say what a blessing it was to be together with my awesome family again. Thanks for having a birthday! Sorry about the tire - hope it didn't inconvenience you too much, Love you lots, Marianne
Hey Bob and Carol, Looks like you had a great time. I think I recognize the place you stayed as the Knoll beach house. Last night we made reservations there for next summer to gather our kids and grandkids together for some memory making.
Our memories of you go back to MDP in the fall of '72. You were young then. We quickly grew to love you both. Over the following 35 years and countless meetings, we added respect, appreciation and friendship to the list.
As we got acquainted with the family, we have always admired the whole bunch. I'll never forget when Matt and Marianne were running races from one end of our house to the other with our kids.
You can be proud of the rich heritage found in your family. As you know, when we leave this life we leave everything behind, but the only thing of value that's left is the impact we've had in the lives of others. And, I believe, if you haven't impacted family, all the rest don't matter anyway.
Thanks for being a good example and even more so for being a good friend.
While, I've got the stage let me say hi to all the other Moffats who may have met and remember JoAnn and I. I'm sure you appreciate the legacy and heritage that is yours. I trust you will only build on it. If you care to drop me a note to let us know where and how you are doing, here's my email....jerryopp@aol.com
God Bless all of you and I'll look forward to Bob's 100th B-day bash. By then I may have to help him blow out all the candles.
Great blog! Where have the years gone? Don has you beat - 80 years in November! Enjoyed seeing you in Portland in August. Hope you can come back our way again.
We have been married 60 years this year and are blessed with a super family-
6 children 18 grands and to-date 19 great-grands.
each one gives us a reason to praise God and thank Him.
