Kitchen Re-DO

Our kitchen cabinets are 1978 originals. Carol wanted to bring it into this century. We looked at getting new cabinets at IKEA, etc. (Lots of money and even more work). We comprimised with some money and some work and it came our pretty good.
Before we had a black stove and a black dishwasher and lime green cupboards.
So we bought a new cookstove, changed the face of the dishwasher, painted the cupboards to change the look.
I fixed some old cupboard slides, installed some new cupboard sliding shelves and presto--she is pleased.and I'm happy because when momma is happy.....

Congrats to Marianne

Our youngest, Marianne had a great personal accomplishment by completing the Mayor's Marathon on Anchorage, Alaska last weekend. We are proud of her. It involved more than running the 26 miles. It was accomplished by hours of training over the last few months.
Much of it in dark and cold Alaska winter. Her husband Scott was very supportive by helping
with household chores so Marriane could take the time to train.

Our son Matt ran and completed a marathon in Newport, Oregon a few years ago. He is now training for the famous Hood to Coast run this August. (Mt Hood to Oregon Coast) He a and a few others are training now. Two of our grandson's are on that team.
It is a joy for us to rejoice in our children's personal accomplishments and spiritual growth.

56 times 56

Great grandmother meets Miles Moffat
Eric and Leah's twins arrive at the hospital to meet their new brother. It is an adjustment for sure. Miles was born ceaserian and Leah did great. Carol and I will be married 56 years in December and Miles Moffat is number 56 of our immediate family. 56 times 56!!! The command to multiply is one we definetly obeyed. Seriously, the blessing of family is certainly our greatest.

50th Anniversary party in Seattle

Carol's Brother and Sisters

We had a great time with all of Carol's siblings celebrating her brother Don and wife Helen's
50th Wedding anniversary. It was great seeing their family as well. Sorry for the 'head chop',
I wanted to get all of that pretty cake.
